Role Overview

We are inviting a distinguished Forensic Document Examiner to join our elite team of investigators. This role requires an individual with an astute eye for detail and a deep understanding of questioned document analysis. You will be responsible for scientifically examining contested documents to determine authenticity, authorship, and potential alterations. Your expertise will be pivotal in resolving cases involving forgery, counterfeiting, and fraud, providing our clientele with indisputable clarity in matters of immense consequence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scientific examinations of handwriting, signatures, typewriting, and printing processes.
  • Detect alterations, obliterations, and erasures using non-destructive optical and chemical techniques.
  • Utilize Video Spectral Comparators (VSC) and Electrostatic Detection Apparatus (ESDA) for indented writing analysis.
  • Compare inks and papers to determine origin and dating where possible.
  • Prepare comprehensive forensic reports and present findings as an expert witness in courts of law.

Qualifications & Expertise

  • Degree in Forensic Science or a physical science discipline.
  • Formal training and apprenticeship in Questioned Document Examination.
  • Certification by a recognized body (e.g., ABFDE or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience with VSC, ESDA, and microscopy.
  • A proven track record of providing expert testimony in legal settings.
